Visual Identity

Summary

Pioneer is a learning and development platform created by Office Friendly. An industry-first, Pioneer is a central resource combining sales tools, training materials and interactive curriculums designed to help support SME business owners and their sales teams upskill and develop their knowledge at their own pace. The Pioneer platform combines gamification technology – allowing users to climb a leaderboard, interact in forums, earn badges and ‘level up’ as they engage with the content – and L&D techniques to create a fun, flexible learning environment for users.

The Challenge

Office Friendly approached KascAid to develop a brand system for Pioneer, including a logo, colour scheme, and a full suite of icons, certificates, and assets for the platform.

We knew that any new visual identity had to be consistent with the look and feel with the Office Friendly brand whilst also giving Pioneer its own identity with space to grow and evolve over time.

The Solution

The purpose of the platform as a learning and development tool was considered carefully. As a platform with multiple areas for the user to explore, the visual system we created would need help guide the user through the platform in a logical way. We also accounted for the evolving nature of a learning and development resource: as material is added and removed over time, the integrity of the brand must be protected. Therefore, all imagery across the platform is simple and accessible, following a distinct visual style that can be easily replicated and applied as the platform expands and develops.

For this same reason, the Pioneer logo was created with a certain amount of flexibility. We opted for the simple, minimalist design of a map pin with an integrated ‘P’, evoking the theme of exploration, innovation and discovery. The simplicity of the design gives the Pioneer brand vital room to grow and develop as time goes on.

The Result

KascAid has developed a logo and visual identity for the Pioneer learning and development platform. The Pioneer brand harmonises just enough with the Office Friendly logo whilst also asserting its own visual style, giving it space to grow and evolve over the coming years.
